Contemporary Box Style House Redesign

I already have a complete floor plan that works well for me; what I need now is a fresh exterior and roof concept. The goal is to turn the existing design into a clean-lined, two-story box form that still feels interesting rather than monolithic. I’m imagining a contemporary look clad in Hardi board, with the siding pattern used creatively to break up the massing.

Key points I’d like you to address:
• Keep the current interior layout exactly as is.
• Shift the overall geometry to a simple box, then introduce subtle step-backs or height changes so the facade doesn’t read as one flat wall.
• Use a truss system for the main roof and vary the ridge heights (at least two different levels) to add visual relief.
• All porch coverings should be rendered with attractive roofs that complement the main structure.
• Eliminate casement windows; please specify cost-efficient alternatives that still suit a contemporary style.
• Every construction choice should aim at reducing overall build cost without sacrificing curb appeal.

For deliverables, I’ll need updated exterior elevations, roof and framing plans suitable for truss fabrication, and a few perspective visuals so I can show the concept to my builder. CAD files (DWG or similar) plus print-ready PDFs will be perfect. If anything in the brief is unclear, let’s discuss it early so the redesign moves quickly.
